Public organization “Youth Platform” – creating youth centers and youth councils in Ukraine

Youth Platform is an implementation-oriented and service-providing Ukrainian organization whose activities are focused on the design and implementation of national and international projects and programmes in the youth sector.

The organization is a non-governmental actor in youth policy and has been operating for over 10 years with strong expertise in developing youth policies and supporting their implementation at various levels. The Youth Platform acts as a reliable partner for public authorities, local self-government bodies, and international partners, delivering development-oriented, advocacy, analytical, and monitoring youth projects

Vision of the organization

By 2030, Youth Platform will be a leading trendsetter shaping youth policy and youth work in Ukraine.

We believe that a responsible young person will be a driver in their communities for all societal processes. They are the present and future officials, businessmen, teachers, and active citizens of their communities. The state of democracy and prosperity depends on their understanding of participation in governance and community life. It’s worth noting that we understand the subjectivity of the concept of “happiness”, but in our understanding, we want to create enough opportunities for young people to find measurable “happiness.” This includes aspects such as career, self-expression, housing, and psychoemotional well-being, among others. All these opportunities (and even more) are what we aim to create.

Strategic directions of the organization’s work

The public organization “Youth Platform” directs its efforts to support youth and community development through the implementation of comprehensive and long-term initiatives. We focus on the following strategic directions:

Development of human capital through the development of young people as a socio-economically active group of Ukraine’s population, who are the drivers of current processes and communities.

Strengthening the role, significance, and influence of youth policy as a cross-sectoral public policy that helps young people to succeed and the state to be important to young people.

Strengthening the effectiveness and capacity of youth work tools such as youth centers and youth councils, based on the principles and approaches of the NGO “Youth Platform”.

Values of the public organization “Youth Platform”

Our activities are based on the values that define our mission and approach to working with youth and communities. The values of the Youth Platform are the foundation that unites our team, partners and project participants in a common pursuit of a better future.

Youth as a value

For us, youth is neither a problem nor a resource, it is a value. We appreciate and believe in young people as potential, opportunity, and a projection of the future.

State-minded stance

We support democracy and the rule of law in our country. We pay taxes, oppose corruption, and stand against any practices or organizations that weaken Ukrainian statehood.

Community

We value our youth-sector community. We also value all communities united by the idea of investing in young people and creating conditions where every young person feels significant and empowered.

We constantly learn and evolve. We are inspired by opportunities to improve ourselves and our environment. We cultivate a culture of self-development and professionalism.

The NGO “Youth Platform” is a Ukrainian public organization that has been working on the development of youth policy and creating opportunities for self-realization of youth in Ukrainian communities for over 10 years. We specialize in creating youth centers, councils, and implementing educational programs.

We help communities create youth councils and centers, organize training courses, conduct advocacy campaigns, and implement innovative projects to support youth policy. Our programs are aimed at involving young people in active community life.

We work throughout Ukraine, supporting communities regardless of their location. Our projects are implemented at both the local and national levels.

During our work, we have supported the creation of dozens of youth centers and councils, involved thousands of young people in our programs, conducted hundreds of educational events, and helped to implement changes in communities throughout Ukraine.
